Queen Maxima of the Netherlands appeared cheerful as she arrived at the opening of a new company headquarters in Maastricht today.

The Dutch royal, 53, beamed as she accepted a bouquet of flowers upon her arrival at the opening of DSM-Firmenich headquarters.

After venturing into the company building, which aims to innovate various sectors, including health, nutrition, personal care, and perfumery, she greeted staff from a stage.

Maxima looked typically stylish for the occasion and donned a long-sleeved white chiffon dress with floral embellishments.

The royal kept her hair back in a low sleek bun, placing the emphasis on her regal angled hat.

She added further glamour to her outfit with a pair of multicoloured gemstone encrusted drop earrings and a chic, yellow-toned clutch bag.

The mother-of-two opted for a glamorous makeup up look for the occasion, including a smoky eye and a touch of mascara to accentuate her eyelashes.

Maxima's visit comes as Dutch DSM merged with the Swiss Firmenich, forming DSM-Firmenich.

The company aims to innovate several areas, including perfumery, to tackle industry problems and meet consumer needs, according to its website.

Maxima explored the company's offerings and looked delighted to smell scents on display in the perfumery and beauty area.

It has been a busy week for the Argentine-born Dutch royal, who yesterday attended the fifth anniversary of a specialist coding school in Amsterdam.

The Dutch royal, 53, who, as a member of the Dutch Committee for Entrepreneurship, has spoken about the power of technology, beamed as she interacted with students and staff at Codam Coding College.

Wearing a blush, chiffon outfit, which she debuted in May 2022, the mother-of-three looked typically stylish - even with the addition of a few raindrops as she braved a springtime shower.

With a pussy bow and blouson sleeves, Maxima's top was tucked into a matching knee-length skirt which had an asymmetric hemline.

She completed her outfit with an elaborate, floral-inspired fascinator in the same shade, which worked perfectly with her up-do, and a pair of suede court shoes and matching clutch bag.

Radiant as ever, she kept her make-up simple for the fifth anniversary celebrations at Codam.

She let her outfit speak for itself by keeping her jewellery minimal, sporting just a few gold bracelets on her wrist.

Maxima smiled as she interacted with students and staff at the specialist school, which was established to make a career in software programming a reality for students of all backgrounds, ages and genders.

She engaged with students as they were working and appeared focused as they showed her their projects, which included demonstrations of a remote-controlled car and a virtual reality headset.

With no fees or teachers, the school, headed by Corinne Vigneux, the French General Director of GPS company TomTom, is genuinely open to all.
